It'll be BYOB for those that can and we'll probably order delivery since there's so many places in the neighborhood. Any Q's call me or lv msg. here home or cell.

See you there,

AJ

Well, I learned today when I got home from work that my Uncle had passed away this morning. He's been in bad shape for a while, and was at my wedding only for the ceremony and his health had been deteriorating.
He was my mother's brother, the second oldest after her, and that brings me to my next point, the "Anniversary".
Well, my mom passed away exactly 4 years ago today and from pretty the same cancer.
Yeah so, Sept 13th pretty much sucks for me. Anyway, there's no hoopla going on no viewing or funeral. Anyone, who feels interested or realizes the importance of this I urge to give to the American Cancer Society.
I'm out

Okay who's up for Jose Tejas in Fairfield on Friday the 5th? Definately for dinner and say 7 pm?
Address is 647 Rt. 46 West and I think it'd be great if we could get a good sized group together for dinner and drinks there. It's easily accessible to get back to 46 and 80, and this definately means I won't be at the Office this week.

Weekend update with Norm McDonald

Had good weekend ... The game at Sean's was fun, I had an early on command and knocked out Ang and Alli, but lost the chip lead. Saturday was errands and figuring out just what was happening at my complex's laundry facilities. And then show, for once everything seemed to go our way, got into theater early and actually started on time. Actually had positive comments on how I was running tech. And then I woke up Sunday to go to the 'DHA Men's Expo, I again had an early chip lead but lost momentum to a higher flush on the river. Then I went and visited my dad, since I hadn't seen him in a while and then went home to watch TV and then ...

Well let's just say it was a fun weekend.

L8r

sucky x-mas time news

My dad called me late last night, so just from that I new something was up. It turns out my aunt was in the hospital for several infections. Most related to her not getting around so much -that related to alzheimer's. Anyway long story short she passed away in the hospital last night of causes related to the infections of old age.

Anyway, that's my Dad's only sister (was older that him "pushing 80?") and he's seeing about arrangements this week, but it might have to be postponed until after the holidays. She'd been in two different nursing home in the past year + half and I had not even seen her in that time, even though she's been less than a 20 min drive for me now. After he gave me the news, I just went to bed numb.

I had originally planned to go out, but now I think I'll just finish holiday shopping and stay home. (As if the holidays weren't already a reminder that my mom's birthday would have been coming up.)

RH domination Sunday

Man,

I just could not watch the animated shows of yesterday's primetime without thinking of a pair of people from Rocky.

First in the Simpsons Halloween special -Major Quimby is dressed as Mayor McCheese and gets turned into him. Therefore making me think of Larry and his "fascination" with the mayor. Larry, however, has not been eaten by a pack of wild dogs.
Then on Family Guy the head of the Federal Communications Commission is revealed to be -Cobra Commander. And thus I thought of Dave, since he wore that great costume on our stage -Wow was that a year ago already?

Anyway just wanted to memorialize that piece of TV/ reality impact on my life.

Oh, and we got to watch a late-night dumpster fire inside our complex last night. Still waiting to hear the story on that one..

STOLEN FROM ?

The idea of this meme is to have your friends guess how your music tastes run. First pick an artist or band you're pretty familiar with, list several or most of the performers works and the song you like best from that album except for one album. Have you friends guess which track is the favorite from where you left the song blank. Then tag other people to take the poll.

I'll pick R.E.M.
Albums -song

Murmur -Radio Free Europe
Reckioning -Rockville
Fables of the.. -Driver 8
Life's Rich Pageant -Fall On Me
Document -End of the World As We.. "of course"
Green -Orange Crush
Out Of Time -?
Automatic for.. -Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight
Monster -What's The Frequency, Kenneth?
New Adventures In.. -Wake Up Bomb
Up -You're In The Air
Reveal -Imitation Of Life
Around the Sun "leaving this one blank, don't know the album.

There, the album to guess from is "Out of Time"

Tagging to do the poll:

-starlernight
-buffababee
-gamsby
-elmo_iscariot
-princodark
-starlernight

Anniv.

Just Tuesday Dana and I celebrated three years together. We had dinner out at TGI Fridays, and then saw the 40 Year Old Virgin at the local theater. A good movie, I think Steve Carrol was better in Bruce Almighty though. Maybe it's just me seeing all that geek love up there, but I've lived that and I'm not going to be a 40 y/o virgin (but I will still have the toys).

I started thinking after that, if I won the lottery and had everything else taken care of where I could just blow money frivously that I'd do something geek mean. I'm thinking, buying one of the most expensive toys out there from a line or something else I don't like and in the middle of a large convention, vigorously rip open the pristine box cruelly and then treating the figure carelessly.

Well that's all for now.

B-Day (Can never be as young again as you are right now)

Well, it's my birthday today, capping off a long weekend where three of the HOH castmembers celebrated birthday; MOTK and the beef are the others. I had a small get-together for a few of my friends who could make it over to my new apartment. (Our new place; correction since I'm living with Dana). This was like party weekend, at my Dad's for Friday dinner, Saturday at Dana's Aunt Gina's for a birthday and a pool party in the evening. All in all very good, and the rain yesterday cooled everything off for today.

Rocky's been good, I was in charge of tech, since Goody couldn't make it, even though Larry's a butt who refuses to acknowledge anyone's bithday beside Angelo on that weekend. Oh well, it will be good to take a weekend off this week, as we'll be attending Bernadette's wedding in Central Jersey.

Hell, I'm only 30 once, might as well enjoy it. Happy Birthday to me, and Angelo and MOTK.

Just here to do a quick meme..Anyway the point of this one is to list a movie for every letter of the alphabet, if I get bored later maybe I'll do the same for music.

As a secondary selection, I'm going to use M.
Gettin' organized

Well the new apartment points to the fact that I have a great deal of stuff I'm never going to use again. For one I've got a 7 in 1 game table, mostly foosball and billiards complete with everything you'd need to play every game included. It's a great item, I just need kitchen space. Originally I picked it up at Sears for $99, anyone who wants it can have it for $50, I'm going to put that on Craigslist too. I also have the board games HeroQuest with all the modules from the Milton Bradley game, Advanced Hero Quest, Axis & Allies, Jeopardy, Dark World, Mutant Chronicles and Battle Masters with a near complete second set included.

Also to get rid of around here, the super plane from Super Powers line, Warhammer 40K minitures, Hersheys T-shirt size L and Jabba's band set with Jabba the Hut from ROTJ.

This weekend was great, took off Friday (yay three day week) and went to W.W.E., got Dark Phoenix and more LE Heroclix and a large amount from Gamsby too. (Thanks man owe you one!)

The prom show was very interesting, and it should be interesting to see what the alumni preshow is for this weekend.
